BROADSTONE CAR PARK ☆ Ashdown Forest:
18th October 2015 ☆ Hounds attended:25.

This walk was undertaken in rather chilly weather conditions, different to the extended warm, sunny period at the start of the month.

The group headed on a circular route which involved a descent to a small stream and then an extended climb which afford some great views. Everyone’s mood seemed very jolly and the hounds were happy to be together.

We became a bit strung out on the ascent, so halfway we waited for the slower members to catch up before continuing the climb back to the car park.

At the end of our climb a small group of rebel hounds decided that it would be fun to break away from the rest and charge down to the stream again.

Some of our very young members gave chase to retrieve them. These young Ashdown Forest gauchos successfully managed to do this with a little adult help.

This was an enjoyable walk and a great way to spend part of my birthday!

Many thanks to those who gave me cards and best wishes - much appreciated.

(Ed. Derek very kindly offered to take these wonderful photographs. Thanks D).
