The eagle-eyed among you will have spotted two new names on the list of committee members on page one.

Chris and Jayne Cooper have kindly agreed to serve with us on the committee and will be co-opted until their formal election at next year’s AGM.

Jayne and Chris have been very enthusiastic and active members of the Branch. Many of you will know Chris because of his sense of humour, notably, his trademark look on walks - wellies paired with shorts!

I know that I speak for the whole of the committee when I say how much we are looking forward to their input at committee meetings. Their presence will be a great asset to the Branch.

We wanted to encourage younger blood to the committee and their addition must have lowered the average age of the committee by at least a couple of months!

So, a very warm welcome to Jayne and Chris from everyone on the committee!
