BHOC HON SECRETARY'S REPORT

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, I must report how pleased I am with the number of existing members who have renewed their subscriptions for 2018.

A sincere thank you goes to all those who have also kindly included donations with their payments. As you know, we are a not-for-profit organisation and whatever monies that we make is ploughed back into Club funds.

We do have significant costs to meet. Insurance, the cost of hiring halls, printing, internet hosting, all add up, Postage costs can be quite high, which is why I try to use email communications as often as I can - bearing in mind some members do not own computers and still require 'slow-mail'.

Since our formation, subscription costs have remained unchanged - so I think that joining the BHOC is one of the best deals around!

I hope that you are all aware that our Fun Day is now being held on Sunday, 12th August at Crowhurst Village Hall. This is the Club's big summer event which is always great fun and I look forward to seeing you all there.

This year, our Club's Christmas Lunch is also being relocated to a new venue - The Barley Mow which is directly on the A27, west of Polegate, East Sussex. Derek will put all the information on the website.

Finally, our friendly team is alway eager to welcome any member who feels that they would like to join the BHOC Committee. Generally, we hold four meetings throughout the year, and it can be a lot of fun. So if you would like to lend a hand, please contact any of the Committee members.

Enjoy the summer!
