THE JUDGE’S VERDICT by Frankie Roberts

This competition was a difficult one to judge - seeing all those appealing eyes willing me to choose them. Some of the entries shown above were submitted by committee members - for which the editor is grateful - however, these were not in consideration for the winning prize.

My choice for this top honour is the super action shot of Bassets clambering up a bank which was taken on a branch walk by Ian White (see back cover) - a very dynamic and well shot image!

Well done Ian, you should get your prize very shortly - it is a small, lino-cut print of a Basset in a limited edition and hand signed by the artist, Ian Mason.
